About The Woodland

Paths wind through the Woodland Garden, a hillside landscape of giant moss-covered rocks and towering trees. Beneath a 150-year-old maple, a pond and waterfall emerge from the rocks as though they’ve always been there, their banks softened with primroses, rodgersia, crocuses, and ferns.

The paths lead you gently upward to the pond, then around toward the pool house and Bunny’s studio beyond.

A SHADED RETREAT

Closer to the entrance, the woodland gives way to something a little more hybrid — a transitional space planted with spring bulbs, hellebores, epimedium, and rodgersia that bridges the cultivated garden and the wild.
