Description

‘Abetwo’, sold under the trade name Incrediball®, is a robust cultivar of smooth hydrangea selected for its enormous, sturdy flower heads and stronger stems that resist flopping. Native to the eastern United States, Hydrangea arborescens is one of the few hydrangea species indigenous to North America, thriving in partial sun with well-drained, moisture-retentive soils. This cultivar produces large, domed white flowers that bloom on new wood, making it reliable even after harsh winters. It is a favorite for pollinator-friendly, low-maintenance landscapes and formal borders alike.

Naturally found in woodland edges and streambanks, smooth hydrangea tolerates a variety of soil types and is more sun- and cold-tolerant than its Asian relatives. It’s best pruned in early spring to encourage vigorous flowering and maintain form
