Description

A bulbous perennial with straoplike like green leaves and large 4″ diameter dark purple spherical flowers in late Spring. The flowers are long lasting, can be used as a cut flowers and used by bees. Other ornamental onion cultivars are used in the sunken garden as well; ‘Ambassador’, ‘Gladiator’, and the slightly later and shorter ‘Globemaster’.
