Description

Panicle hydrangea ‘Bobo’ is a compact, floriferous cultivar developed in Belgium and favored for its generous flowering on a dwarf frame. Maturing at just 2–3 feet tall, it produces dense panicles of creamy white flowers that blush to pink in late summer, offering months of ornamental interest. The sturdy stems keep blooms upright, even in heavy rain, and its ability to flower on new wood makes it a reliable choice in colder climates. ‘Bobo’ is especially valued in smaller gardens and containers where larger hydrangeas may overwhelm the space.

Native to eastern Asia, Hydrangea paniculata thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is one of the hardiest hydrangeas, tolerating urban conditions well. Its natural distribution includes forest edges and mountain slopes in China, Korea, and Japan, where it grows as a deciduous shrub or small tree.
