Description
‘Laura’ is a mildew-resistant cultivar of garden phlox, selected for its vibrant purple flowers with a contrasting white eye and a strong, upright habit. It typically grows 3 to 4 feet tall and maintains a compact, vertical form that integrates well into mixed borders. Its improved disease resistance makes it a reliable summer perennial even in more humid regions, though substantial airflow and spacing remain beneficial.
As with other cultivars of Phlox paniculata, ‘Laura’ thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soils. It attracts butterflies and other pollinators throughout its extensive bloom period and responds well to deadheading for extended flowering.
